A: If possible, the best way to ensure success with
installation is to HotSync the Dana for the first time AFTER
Write:OutLoud To Go is installed from the CD. This
way your Dana will not be associated with a user created in Palm
Desktop until Write:OutLoud
To Go is already installed. For step
by step installation instructions click here.
A: On a limited first run release of Write:OutLoud
To Go there was an error with the documentation. You can obtain a
revised installation manual here or
see above for step by step installation instructions. Please call our Technical Support department at 01925 256500.
A: You will need to install a missing Registry Key
for your system. You can read more about this here.

A: The Voice Card does not have an internal speaker
and requires the user to either plug in headphones or speakers to
the 1/8" stereo jack. Make sure you have the Voice Card securely
inserted into the card slot
and
the
green
light
is
on. Check
to see
that the
speech is turned on by clicking in the menu
and selecting "Speech --> Turn Speech On".
A: The Voice Card requires the use of a stereo plug.
If your headset/ear bud has a mono connection the Dana will lock
up. It is also possible that the headset/speakers are faulty and
need to be replaced.
A: This error occurs when the Dana has been upgraded
to use the 1.5 version ROM software. This happens because FontBucket
is no longer included in this ROM release and it needs to be installed
for proper Write:OutLoud To Go operation. You can download this here.
A: For best compatibility with the Voice Card you will
need to make sure you are using a Dana with 16MB of RAM. Older Dana
units that have 8MB of RAM can have inconsistencies reading the card.
Also, it is helpful to use the provided screws to firmly attach the
Voice
Card. If this continues, try removing the "filler"
piece from the opposite card slot. Sometimes the Dana thinks this
plastic piece is an actual card and tries to initialize it.
A: The speech portion of the program did not install
or corrupted during the installation. This can be fixed by running
the Installer once more only this time select the option to install
the English UK version. During the install, select Custom and install
DJSA2 only.
Speech Manager is a necessary component that is needed
in order to run Write:OutLoud properly that has either been deleted
or turned off. You will need to install it from the Apple System CD
or activate it through the Extensions Manager. Step
