New Start-to-Finish® upgrades enable pupils to read with a purpose! Don Johnston announced today that a new version of their Start-to-Finish Library computer books and audio books are now shipping. This exciting new version takes the already successful Start-to-Finish Library and streamlines it to really focus on providing a rich reading experience to pupils of all abilities. The new Start-to-Finish versions motivate pupils to participate in the curriculum and interact with their teachers and classmates.

The Start-to-Finish Library has been responsible for growing the number of books struggling pupils read, therefore helping them to simply learn to read by reading. "Every day, struggling readers face materials that are uninteresting and hard to read, that's why they don't read any more than they have to," says Ruth Ziolkowski, President. "Our goal is to motivate pupils to read by providing them with a large volume of engaging considerate text."

The Start-to-Finish Library uses an exclusive writing and editing process to produce the best considerate text on the market today. Available in 3 formats-paperback book, computer book and audio book-teachers are able to differentiate instruction among inclusive classrooms.

Whether a pupil is practicing listening comprehension, building word recognition and fluency or reading for recreation, they will always have the right level of support for the reading task at hand. Teachers can closely monitor pupil progress for every book a pupil reads from Teacher Central-the hub for setting pupil' reading purposes and storing data. Teachers can view and print data from each of the chapter quizzes and listen to audio recordings from the fluency practice activities. They can even print quizzes and fluency practice passages for off computer activities. Pupils will enjoy a new mature look to the screen layout, new quizzes and practice activities, as well as additional speech support in quizzes when needed.

A one-time installation of a Start-to-Finish player makes accessing the whole Start-to-Finish Library as simple as "plug-n-play" on your Macintosh® OS X and Windows® 2000 and XP computers. The audio books will now be recorded on audio CD-ROMs to help better accommodate home use.

New versions of the existing 72 Start-to-Finish titles will be released in groups starting in May 2005 through July 2005. New titles will also be released in June 2005. Upgrade pricing is available!
